|
Umbilical cord complications have been practical interest to physicians for years because of their frequent occurence in routine obstetric practice, yet there are few comprehensive discussions on the subject. True knots, which result from active movements of the fetus distinguished from false knots, which result from kinking of the vessels to accomodate to the length of the cord. True knots of umbilical cord are not infrequent and are occasionally of complicated nature a case of true knot of umbilical cord which coming fetal death is presented with brief review of the literature.
